faralab/hello

A virtual physics lab to create any eletromagnetism setup, and inspect, interact and experiment with it

"Do not refer to your books, and say you have seen that problem before. Answer me rather, have you understood it before?"
— Michael Faraday to students, 1859

Faralab is a virtual physics lab developed to make electromagnetism more visual, interactive and intuitive. It allows students to explore concepts, experiment with simulations and test analytical exercises in a more hands-on way.

It started during the Physics II classes of the 25/26 LEIC course at Técnico Taguspark. Students found it difficult to visualize the concepts taught in class, so I, as one of the teaching assistants, started using interactive simulations alongside my lessons.

After the semester, they encouraged me to bring those materials to other students and teachers. Those materials would eventually become Faralab.

Faralab is currently developed by two core members: a physicist, Telmo Viana Vaz, and a computer scientist, Afonso Sítima.
